Spring 2024 Psu Calendar
As a student at Penn State University, I always look forward to the start of a new semester and the excitement that comes with it. With the Spring 2024 PSU Calendar now available, I can already feel the anticipation building for what promises to be an amazing season.
The Spring 2024 semester at PSU officially begins on January 8th, and runs through May 3rd. Some key dates to keep in mind include:
- January 15th – Martin Luther King Jr. Day (University closed)
- February 14th – Valentine’s Day
- March 5th-13th – Spring Break
- April 22nd – Earth Day
- May 3rd – Last day of classes
Events and Festivals
One of the best things about the Spring semester at PSU is the wide variety of events and festivals that take place throughout the season. Here are just a few of the highlights:
THON is a student-run philanthropy that raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. The annual THON Dance Marathon takes place in February, and is a 46-hour event that involves thousands of students, volunteers, and supporters. It’s an incredible experience, and one of the most popular events on the PSU calendar.
The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, or Arts Fest for short, is a four-day event that takes place in July. It features live music, street performances, and a huge variety of art vendors. But did you know that there’s also a smaller version of Arts Fest that takes place in the Spring? It’s a great opportunity to check out some amazing artwork and get a taste of what’s to come in July.
THON Hoops is a basketball tournament that takes place in March, and is another way for students to raise money for THON. It’s a fun event that brings together teams from all over campus, and is a great way to support a good cause while having a good time.

Spring Break at PSU runs from March 5th-13th.
Is THON the only philanthropy event that takes place in the Spring?
